Re: Where to get Osram Xenarc 66549 HID headlight bulbs for 2012 FFE?

I bought the same ones you did on Amazon for $90/set. My old ones were like yours, 66549. 2X D8S 25W OEM HID Xenon Replacement Headlight Bulb 4300K White P/N: 66548 New Sold by: North State Auto Supply However, a slight modification is needed. There is a notch that you have to cut into the new plast...

Re: Charging Fault

F13 is the on-board charger. You'll have to look up in the electrical service manual to see what that protects. The other 2 fuses don't seem relevant. F15 is unused and F18 is the wiper motor. Does the car charge under some condition....as you are saying that it drives? You might try another "charge...

Re: OEM Tires Worn Out After Only 12K Miles!

I have 60+K miles on my focus. I'm on the 3rd set of tires and they just about need replacing. I'm getting about 21K per set. I'm generally pretty hard on the acceleration but rather mild on the braking as I usually get scores in the high 90's per the brake coach. The first set of tires were Low Rol...

Re: 2016 focus electric only shows 57 mile budget

I'm pretty sure that it wasn't till 2017 that the larger battery was available increasing the range above 110 miles per charge. 57 miles at 90% charge actually could be ok. Extrapolating, that'd be 63 miles at 100%. So depending on the miles on the ODO, that could be ok...new, it should have been 76...

Re: My 23 KW battery is being replaced

That's what they did to me....they forgot the coolant. I can't even imagine how they can forget that. Anyway, you were lucky to get to 76% charge...mine wouldn't make it nearly that far before it stopped with a charge fault. I was using an L2 charger. I suppose if you used L1, then it might be able ...

Re: Replacing electric heater?

Before you replace your heater, make sure you don't have air in the cabin-heater coolant loop. I suppose if you turn on the heater and you don't see the climate power consumption go up on the dash, that could be a sign. If you have Forscan working on your car (OBDII dongle + app) you can see what th...

Re: Battery Percentage

Back in 2014 with this thread was started, the %charge was not available. It wasn't till an update to Sync that added a tab to the home screen to get the tab with the state of charge and start times etc. My 2012 also has the charge info and suspect they all do now...on the infotainment screen.

Re: Debating buying a 2013, what is the typical battery life?

My advice, look at the range you get when the car is fully charged. Then give it a good testdrive with your average driving style...don't baby it as it will give you a false sense of the range you can expect. At least 20 miles. Take the actual miles driven and subtract from the original range estima...

Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

Here's some comments from my experience. The SSN issues doesn't necessarily mean it is a EV related (8yr 100k) problem. I had an SSN issue a year and a half ago where my battery was replaced. However, the week before that diagnosis was made, the dealer diagnosed a relay that was not covered under th...

Re: My 23 KW battery is being replaced

When I got my new 33.5KWh battery, it was the 2nd time I had a battery pulled from the car. The first time, the battery was "repaired" and put back in. I suspect that the determination to replace the battery depends on the issue. I heard that a car manufacturer has to support a product for 10 years....
