30 Days in Shop

My FFE went into the shop on 9-30-13 to repair a problem with value charging and inability to charge at all. I am told by the dealer that the main computer was replaced, but, that did not correct the problem and now they are waiting for a wiring harness that apparently hasn't been built yet and expe...

Re: Anyone else have problems with Value Charging?

I can't get it to work either. When I turn off the car, the value start time used to read 00:00, now it reads the current time. The car starts charging when plugged in and sends me a text that it is charging, then a few minutes later sends another text stating a charging fault was encountered. After...

Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

Got the estimate from the dealer, $2800 for the harness and $1000 for the labor. I could have done it my self for about $5, but Ford is recommending the harness and so is the insurance company. Since it is a lease car, I probably have no say in the matter. I would have removed the pins from the conn...

Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

Rats! Spoke to the dealer and he said a rat got up on top of my motor and chewed a high voltage wire all the way through. Fortunately my insurance company is going to pay for the damage. They are going to replace the wiring harness that contains the wire as they don't want to splice the wire.

Stop Safely Now Warning

After charging my FFE at work yesterday, I got in to go home and pressed the start button and got my first stop safely now message. I tried restarting the car numerous times to no avail. The car was towed to Downtown Ford in Sacramento. My FFE has 2000 gas free miles on the clock. Today, the dealer ...

Re: 12 Volt Accessory battery not charging

My battery has died twice sitting in the garage waiting for it's HOV stickers. Apparently when the car Li-ion battery is fully charged, it stops charging the 12 volt accessory battery, so the battery goes dead. The only other way to charge the battery is to turn on the on-off switch. So, I installed...
